Last Day of Spring Break

So, we have had a bunch of illnesses over the past two weeks. Our spring break has included many doctor and pharmacy visits...yay...not. Got a chance to do some card making today and was able to use my new Stand-Up Card die from The Stamps of Life (Who else?)! I used my strawberry set, basket die my son bought for me, the camera and film strip sets, and the coffee set. My craft room was a total disaster, but it's nice and tidy now. I also received my new Card Club Kit for March yesterday. It was SO nice. A completely different color scheme than what I am used to. But, it is perfect for making cards for males and just an all around neat set. I'll post more on it later. So, here are a few more cards I wanted to share.
The first one is a center-cut Step-up card I made for my sis-in-law Marcia from THE state of Ohio. hehe
Here is the closed and opened berry cards.

Bubba even made a berry card for a nice lady at church who sent him a get well card.

This one was a fast card using my camera dies. I am in love with the filmstrip!

And who doesn't love lattes! I've been enjoying Stephanie's patterned paper. This card was no exception. Even added some Queen & Co. diamond shaped bling. Oh yeah...mommy likey!

Hope you liked the new cards. We had a great experience at church Wednesday night that I will have to write about later. We got to participate in the Jewish Passover Seder. It was beautiful and full of symbolism....and horseradish and a few runny noses!

Quick Cards

Bubba has had strep for the past few days and was unable to sleep. Fever, couldn't eat, wouldn't drink, dehydrated, etc. So, when he finally was able to sleep, I kept busy with cards. It is a nice stress reliever for me. We've been so busy that I hadn't had a chance to play with my new Stamps of Life sets. So... I got our my new Kitty and Bicycle sets and made a few quick cards. I could have easily spent 2 hours on each card, but I wanted to get something accomplished while I had a few minutes while he slept.

How could you NOT love the bicycle?! The die cut it perfectly and even came with a tiny bike and die. I didn't use it on this card, but instead used the bike paperclip that came with a previous TSOL Card Club set.

Ahhhhh! I love Stephanie's patterned paper! She said for the longest time she would never make any, but I'm sooo glad she changed her mind! I colored in the bike with a Sharpie and added bling to the wheels. I love the twine and buttons that have come in her kits.

And we all know kitty lovers! I was anxious to see how the kitties and little fishies stamped and cut out. Completely adorable! Bub had a great idea of making it look like the cat was eating the fish. I carefully cut along the cat's mouth and it worked great. I also made a slit in the bowls so it would look like the fish were inside the bowls.

So...simple, quick cards but I think they turned out cute. I've decided that from now on I am going to cut multiple shapes as I go and make coordinating cards. The kitty ones use the same colors of papers, just in different places. The sentiments are different, but it took me a lot less time to crank out two than to do one at a time. And if the same person happens to get both kitty cards, they will look different enough that they may think they are from a set! Ha!

Boxes

I made this box for my sis-in-law, Marcia. She loved the Graphic 45 Alice in Wonderland paper we got at the craft convention. I have enjoyed making the easel boxes very much.

I made this pop-up birthday card for my secret sister at church.

Bulletin Board

Here is a bulletin board I did at church.

Cheerleaders

I made these treat bag toppers for my niece's junior cheerleading squad. I used the Paper Doll Cricut cartridge. The pompoms are made from red and black thread.

Christmas Boxes & Cards

I made a "few" easel boxes and milk cartons/holders for my husband's co-workers. I also attempted my first shaker cards. Except for the glitter I'm still finding three months later, they were incredibly fun to make! Ha!

Gifts

It's always fun to make gifts for those you love! I helped Bubba make his lil sis these letters and a door hanger for Christmas.

I painted this for my aunt who loves Mickey Mouse!

Birthday Cake

Bubba turns 18!

No KC Royals fan can be without his own jersey cake!

Halloween

Halloween Treats and Silly Puppies

I made Bacon & Eggs costumes for our dogs this year!

Here are a few treat boxes that I made for the kiddos in the family.

Peg Dolls

Peg Dolls

Here are a few pictures of the peg dolls that I have painted for family and friends. They were so much fun to do and took very little time. It was very relaxing for me. I also painted the storage boxes.
